In this “Career: Reset” episode, Dr. Ruzena Bajcsy, 2021 IEEE Medal for Innovations in Healthcare Technology recipient, does a deep dive into technologies’ impact on the medical field in her interview with IEEE Senior Member Jacquelyn Adams. The IEEE Medal for Innovations in Healthcare Technology Medal is sponsored by the IEEE Engineering and Medicine and Biology Society. 

Dr. Bajcsy received her PhD in EE from Slovak technical University in Bratislava in 1967 and then PhD in CS from Stanford University in 1972. She founded the GRASP lab (General Robotic and Active Perception) laboratory in 1979 at University of Pennsylvania,in Philadelphia, PA. She is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and National Academy of Medicine. For the last 60 years Dr. Bajcsy has devoted her life to fostering new ideas that enable to bridge the man and machine.
